Driving east on Melrose as I do pretty much everyday on my way home from the adventures of the day, I was stuck behind the most annoying bright yellow car..so bright I was forced to turn my head to the right..and there it was.. Froma on Melrose. I had never noticed this tiny little French wine bar/sandwich shop/bakery/just pain cute eatery. I swiftly made a u turn, and another u turn, promptly pissing off everyone that was stuck behind me, parked and sprinted into the place with all my curiosity antenna’s ablaze.
Uhhh super cute!!
I was greeted by Francine (the owner) and proceed to question her about..well everything!
…the conversation went something like this:
Taye
How long have you been
here?
Francine
Three years.
Taye
What do you serve?
Francine
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and
happy hour.
Taye
Are you open everyday?
Francine
Seven days a week 9am-9pm
(we open at 10 on Sundays)
Taye
What is this cute little cookie in
that jar?
Francine
Here have one
Taye
(she tastes) YUM!
This went on for the next ten minutes..and Francine delightfully answered all my questions.
Since I had just eaten I told her I would be back to sample the goods..and that’s exactly what I did this morning!
I had the Tomato, Basil & Egg breakfast Panini and it just might be the best sandwich in it’s category that I have ever had!!!!! WOW!! I also partook in a soy latte..sooo amazing!
The menu is packed with sandwiches, salads, cheeses, meats, dessert and of course wine (which I did not have this morning)! They have a Happy Hour Monday -Friday from 4pm to 7pm. $3.00 beer, $5.00 wine and $6.00 small bites..
Guess who will be back for that

I always wondered what this store had to offer. Looks like I will be making a visit. Love the editorial as well!
Beautiful pictures. Really seems capture the atmosphere, or never having been there, what I imagine the atmosphere being like. I have every intention of visiting asap! Any place with happy hour is a happy place to be.
